An Earthquake! (Tam Awan)

In the morning, at 11 a.m, me and Kyrene went to the SLU to hand them my conservation letter permission to observe my friends while teach for my thesis dissertation. We should give them the letter to unrich office (University Research and Innovation Center). Actually I kind of nervous when I explained to them my intention, just scared that I have to do few things to make them allow me to conduct the observation. Turns out, the lady officer asked me does the teacher allow me to observe my friends? And I said yes, I told her that I already observe some of my friends. Then she printed out a guidelines and a form, she also send me an email where I have to put my signature on the letter.

After that, I asked Kyrene to accompany me to buy something in the canteen. I strolled around and sadly, mostly they sell pork in one of their menu, which is a no for me. Nope. Then I found takoyaki store, the filling is just vegetable and crab stick. No pork, Kyrene also asked the seller to make sure, no pork. Yay!! I bought six pieces that cost 66 pesos.

Waiting till 11.45 a.m. We felt our body is shaking slightly. What is this? An earthquake? We’re not sure, but it’s scary tbh. 11.45 Farhani and Sir Merwin already in the lobby waiting for us. I asked them to wait for me since I have to go to the toilet, and after arrived in the lobby, I checked my phone and it’s time for dhur prayer. So we took a prayer first. Then we walked to ride jeppney.

Anddd there’s a lottt of peopleeee outsideeee. Because the earthquake. It’s very crowded. And we got separated with Farhani. We kept walking. The situation gets better as we walk by the streets.

Arrived in Tam Awan Village. We have rubbercut print workshop. Me and Hana, we were sleepy at that time. We already wore a pretty and nice outfit, but the place is not like what we expected. We thought the workshop will be placed in a big aula or auditorium. But it just a small place, it’s like on the top of the cliff, we have to take few stairs. The place is quite small.

We followed the instruction. Sketch first, we draw anything what we want, as creative we want. After that we sculpt. It was difficult. After we know the technique, we sculpt it way faster than before. Last part, we paint our rubber cut with black paint. We have to wait for soooo loonngggg, because they provide one black paint only and it takes a long time to finish one art.

Hana get sick because her metabolism isn’t good at that day, she felt very cold, but her body feels warm. Her hands were very cold, she went back to the dorm early.

It was nice, my rubbercut print. I/m proud of my art. Tbh, I just copying the art of the artist, a tree.
